London’s main attractions are the Tower Bridge the Houses of Parliament the Rolling Quid the Eye and of course the Buckingham Palace.
What? You haven’t heard of the Buckingham Palace? Or is it the Quid? All right I’ll tell you then.
It happened on April 6th in the wonderful year of 1906. When he finished breakfast Terry tried to cheer his wife up a bit. Alas in vain.
Terry worked as a salesman running his own store in Tudor Street downtown. On that day a particularly ugly woman entered the store offering a magic Sterling for sale. Terry was curious and learned that the coin would grant one wish but can only be used once in a person’s life. The price was extremely high still Terry placed the amount into the lady’s palms.
He gave it a great deal of thought and finally came up with something. Taking the Quid he gently whispered the words: “Roll like you’d roll eternally. Concentrate your energy. Place it where I want it to be to create a catastrophe in Italy.” Thanks to this Mount Vesuvius erupted in the afternoon and Rome could not host the Olympic Games in 1908 because all the money was needed for restoration. So London became the host of the Games that year.
As a result Terry’s wife could join the British national team at the Olympic Games. That was her greatest dream but Rome would be just too far away. Terry kept the coin story to himself and enjoyed his wife become happy again.
